Sandakan : On the final day, 3rd May of the Fellowship of Malaysian Covenant Communities (FMCC), a meeting was convened among the elders of the nine communities. Representatives from the youth, men and ladies groups tabled their resolutions derived from their respective group discussions.
The 3-day event was indeed fruitful and the gathering had enriched the participants, not merely on relationship bonding but more so on the understanding and the practice of community life. The get together had also strengthened their faith, enhanced their commitment and the zeal to serve. Each member has potentials to contribute; a gift to share, a service to offer in building up the Body of Christ.
During the closing remark, Bro. Anthony Lim mentioned that the Most Rev John Ha, Archbishop of Kuching, the current President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei urged the FMCC to collaborate with the church to help face the many challenges confronting the church.
In conclusion, he said, “our meeting here is a good encounter with one another and an opportunity to encounter with the Lord with full of joy and let us continue to pray for one another.' Next year, the FMCC will be held in Kuala Lumpur from 29th of April to 2nd of May 2016.
Committed members of SYCC, ever willing to serve
