The Eucharistic celebration on the 3rd day was presided over by Fr. Alvin Ng of Kuching. He shared that in ministry and service, we have to please a lot of people if we want to get things done. Sometimes, it may go against our very own conscience. It is easy for us to minister our own ministry or to sit in conferences and talk about the situation from our perspective.
However, the realities on ground differ much. No matter how many times we may have been at the grass roots, it is always they, who continue to amaze us. More often than not, the members of the grassroots evangelize us through their witnessing in spite of their tough life.
'Perhaps I would say that, it is their faith that makes them survived the storm. They cling on to the understanding that somehow there is a greater power that moves them towards hope for the future and certainly provides them courage.'
