Way of the Cross

Sandakan: On Good Friday, 10th April 2009 at 9.00 am, parishioners of St Mary's Cathedral walked the Way of the Cross for the final time during the Lenten season. It commemorates Jesus' crucifixion. Sr Appolonia FSIC, the Sister in charge of St Mary's Convent led the parishioners in the event which started from the Grotto right up to the open space below the Convent. At each station, they meditate on Jesus' suffering and death on the cross, and what it meant for their faith. Below are photos of the event.
