Lilybeth Lim, the Chairperson of the community in her brief address, said that the gathering could provide a basis for bonding, a necessary element in community building. She hoped members would have a strong sense of belonging to the community providing always, service to the Church. The community should never journey in isolation but to be an integrated part of the wider community, the Church. The presence of the youth is a sign of vitality within the community. She urged them to be more involved as they are the future of the Church.

Mario Domingo, the PPC Chairman called on the members to focus on the family, a truly little church or better known as a domestic church which should be rooted in the mission of the Church. It is through the family, that the faith could be passed on to the children and built up. 'The family is, so to speak, the domestic Church. In it parents should , by their word and example, be the first preachers of the faith to their children.' (Vatican II , Constitution on the Church)

An excellent example of 'we are the church' with the young, the not so young and the not young anymore categories all involved in making the 'family day' a beautiful witness of Christ. God bless the Filipino community. Continue to serve the church.
