Fr Thomas was on his pastoral round while the medical staff were extending their services to the rural folks. The Chairmen of the three pillars, pastoral, finance and property were actually on site to gauge the the actual condition of the properties - the chapels, the halls and the rectories and to get all properties under the jurisdiction of the Cathedral insured accordingly.
On Friday, 21st December, our team (the three pillars) made a day trip to Our Lady Of Fatima (OLOF) Church Beluran, St.Emmanuel's Chapel, Jaya Bakti, St.Anthony's Chapel Bukit Garam and St.Paul's Church Ulu Dusun.

The team held discussion with the local community about future expansion to cater to the needs of the people. We were impressed to see St.Emmanuel and St.Anthony chapels well kept and maintained.
OLOF is in dire need of upgrading and renovating its parish hall and their proposed project of a new church building is still on planning stage. The proposed parish hall for St Paul's Church Ulu Dusun has long overdue. The team will see to the matter and make it their priority for 2013.

There are some 29 sub parishes and outstations under the purview of St Mary's Cathedral. It is fascinating that all these have been well administered and maintained by the local community. The Lord provides as long as we have faith in Him as in Philippians 4 : 19, 'And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.'
