PROGRESS OF THE DIOCESAN PASTORAL AND WORSHIP CENTRE

Sandakan : The proposed 3-storey Diocesan Pastoral and Worship Centre measuring some 80 feet wide by 90 feet long, sited at the former St Mary's Convent Primary School site is now approximately 15 % completed. Upon completion it will house nine rooms as offices, six rooms for lodging and one worship and assembly hall.

On 22nd March 2011, Fr Phillip Muji, the assistant rector of St Mary's Cathedral  and members of the Building Committee headed by John Pang made a site inspection of the project. On hand to brief the members was Mr Lau the representative of City Construction, the main contractor for the project.

The twelve month contract for the project sealed and effective 15th October 2010 is expected to complete by the 14th October 2011. According to Mr Lau, the project is a little behind schedule due to the unexpected  lengthy raining season.

We are still far from our target and as such we humbly appeal to all kind parishioners to contribute generously to the Building Fund.
