According to Peter Thien, repair and upgrading work is in progress at St Paul’s Church and Our Lady of Fatima’s Church. The three chapels will also be given a face lift before the year end. Plan is ahead to construct the long awaited community hall at St Paul’s Church.

Peter Thien

He said that failing to budget and plan for regular maintenance and repair, one might face significant financial demands later. Ultimately, you will pay more in the long run than the cost of regular upkeep.

They are drawing up a checklist to establish a program of regular inspection and minor maintenance with a hope that the program will become a routine for the property and maintenance committee.

A welcoming, comfortable and conducive environment is one component that draws and retains church members. If the buildings are in good shape it projects an image that the congregation really cares about their church.

During the visit, they made an analysis on every building, looking at repair and maintenance as well as the needs of the area.
