Bishop Julius Makes a Courtesy Call on YB Datuk Teo Chee Kang, Minister of Special Tasks

Sandakan : A four-member delegation led by Rt Rev Julius Dusin Gitom, the Bishop of Sandakan made a courtesy call on YB Datuk Teo Chee Kang, Minister of Special Tasks in the Chief Minister's Department at the latter's office in Kota Kinabalu, yesterday 1st October 2014.

The delegates comprised of Henry Wong, Chairman of the Sandakan Diocesan Finance Council, Anthony Wong and Francis Tan, the Executive Secretary of the Sandakan Diocesan Pastoral Centre.

During the courtesy call, Bishop Julius briefed the minister regarding the set-up of the Diocese, its inception and mission, the current development both physical and spiritual. 

The prelate and the minister had a cordial time exchanging views on current issues affecting the state. They shared on views as to how the church could complement the efforts of the government in addressing issue regarding young people faced with difficult challenges.
