圣玛莉主教座堂大年初一新春弥撒

圣玛莉主教座堂今天庆祝大年初一新春弥撒。因届临四旬期，未能大事装饰庆祝，仍不减华裔教友欢庆一年一度的大日子。 许多游子纷纷回到家乡与家人团聚，也趁着大年初一来到圣堂参与主的圣餐，也与教友叙旧一番。 主祭新年弥撒的是Julius 主教和Charles Chiew 神父。 参与弥撒的教友也获得主教祝福的年柑。之后主教及神父派发红包给长者及孩童们。另外也 邀请了建国醒狮团表演助庆。

Sandakan St Mary Cathedral's Chinese New Year Mass

This year Chinese New Year falls on the 10 Feb 2013 (Sunday). This year we have our Bishop Julius and Fr. Charles Chiew to celebrate the New Year Mass. As usual, many parishioners from outstation came back to celebrate the New Year with their families and attended the Chinese New Year mass and took the opportunity to meet up with old friends and relatives.

After the blessing of the Mandarin oranges which were distributed to all, Bishop Julius and Fr. Charles gave away angpows to senior citizens and children. After Mass, we were entertained with Lion Dance performance from the Ken Kok Association.
