Tawau : Some 800 parishioners participated in a two-in-one celebration, bidding fond farewell to Rev. Fr. Johnny Raju and extending warm welcome to Rev. Fr. Philip A. Muji, Sr. Liza Anggie fsic and Seminarian Raymond Lee. The event took place at the Parish Hall on 13th February 2016 at 7.30 pm after the Sunset Mass.

Muji, Sr. Liza Anggie fsic and Seminarian Raymond Lee. The event took place at the Parish Hall on 13th February 2016 at 7.30 pm after the Sunset Mass.
Rev. Fr. Johnny Raju will be transferred back to the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu after his two year assignment at Holy Trinity Parish from 2013 -2015.
Msgr. Nicholas Ong, the
rector expressed his gratitude to Fr. Johnny Raju for his passionate commitment and concern on pastoral matters in Holy Trinity especially during his medical treatment for almost a year in Singapore. He shared, "I cannot thank
you much by words but God knows my sincere appreciation to you. You have taken
care of this parish well, along with the consultative body – the PPC members and also
the parishioners. I believe that each priest has his own
way and style and so is Fr. Johnny. I and our new priest
Fr. Philip Muji will always commit to work for the glory of God. I pray
that Fr. Johnny will continue to serve with the same zeal at his new parish of Stella
Maris Tg. Aru."
He then concluded his
speech by welcoming Rev. Fr. Philip Muji, Sr. Liza Anggie fsic and Seminarian
Raymond Lee who is undergoing a two-year pastoral exposure in Holy Trinity Parish, Tawau.
Fr. Johnny Raju in his farewell address, extended his thanks to Msgr. Nicholas Ong for giving him the
trust and opportunity to serve in Holy Trinity Parish. He also thanked all
parishioners for their unceasing support and friendship. "I must say that I
have learn a lot from you in the last two years. We have journeyed together through good and difficult times but with God’s grace we are moving towards one direction in building together the kingdom of God. I wish you
all the best and God bless you always."
Sr. Liza Anggie fsic from
Tambunan has been assigned to Holy
Trinity. With the new placement, there are now three fsic sisters together with Sr. Liza Augustine fsic and Sr. Martha fsic serving in the parish.
Seminarian Raymond Lee who has completed his first year in theology at St. Peter's Seminary College, Kuching will be
doing his two year pastoral exposure at Holy Trinity Parish.
The fellowship ended at 9.30 pm with a closing prayer led by Fr. Johnny Raju.
