Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception

Christ Known To All

The Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception is a local diocesan congregation with a specific mission within the church, living their consecrated, apostolic life in the spirit of prayer, simplicity and joyful service after the example of Mary Immaculate and St Francis.

They foster on-going renewal, forming them into persons of faith, hope and love in fraternal communities centered in the Eucharist. They incarnate the Gospel values in their work of evangelization wherever they are, bringing about total human development and the preservation of creation.

Ten Franciscan Sisters are now currently serving in the Diocese of Sandakan sharing their gifts and talents as well as their limitations, deepening their faith and love for each other. They serve in the three parishes of the diocese as follows;
