Para peserta menghadiri Misa Kudus yang diselebrankan oleh Fr. Thomas. Misa dikendalikan sepenuhnya oleh para peserta SC. Selesai Misa Kudus, acara bergambar beramai-ramai bersama Fr. Thomas diadakan di dalam Katedral.

Acara kemuncak SC iaitu Sesi Dialog, Penggulungan dan Pembentukan 'Core Group' Memproses Buku telah diadakan di Dewan Paroki.

Doa pagi dimulakan pada hari kedua SC. Para peserta beramai-ramai mengadakan 'Body Prayer' di tempat meletak kereta. 'Body Prayer' adalah doa yang didoakan melalui pergerakan tubuh badan. Doa ini dipimpin oleh Venessa Julian.

Senam robik - satu senaman tubuh badan yang dipimpin oleh Jonathan I. Lai telah diadakan di Dewan Paroki. Para peserta dan juga fasilitator turut serta dalam acara ini.

HARI PERTAMA - S.H.O.U.T. CAMP 2010 - BELIA KATEDRAL ST. MARY, SANDAKAN

"Suarakan Hatimu Oh-Belia Untuk Tuhan"
Sandakan - S.H.O.U.T. Camp 2010 yang bertemakan "Guru yang baik, apakah yang harus ku perbuat untuk perolehi hidup yang kekal?" (Mt 10:17) telah diadakan pada 10 hingga 12 September 2010 bertempat di Katedral St. Mary, Sandakan.

S.H.O.U.T. Camp atau Konsultasi Belia Paroki yang diadakan di Dewan Paroki ini telah dihadiri oleh 218 peserta termasuk para fasilitator. Majoriti peserta belia adalah dalam lingkungan umur 13 - 15 tahun. Terdapat juga peserta belia yang berumur 30 tahun ke atas.

HTC Celebrates the 32nd Priestly Ordination Anniversary Of Msgr Nicholas Ong

Happy 32nd Anniversary of your priestly ordination dear Msgr Nicholas

Tawau : Around 200 parishioners gathered at Holy Trinity Church parish hall on the evening of 3rd October 2010 to celebrate the 32^nd priestly ordination anniversary of their rector, Msgr. Nicholas Ong.

In his speech, Msgr. Ong thanked the parishioners for celebrating with him his ordination anniversary.

He welcomed the presence of a former rector Fr. Aloysius Tung as well as that of Sr. Magdalene FSIC for joining in the celebration.

Episcopal Ordination of Coadjutor Archbishop Most Rev John Wong

Tawau : In commemoration of the 40^th Anniversary of International Earth Day, the Environment Committee of Holy Trinity Church, together with The 'Scents of Borneo,' organized a training on mudballs making with the theme ‘To Earth with Love’ on Sunday, 26th September 2010.

It is high time to do our share in protecting the Earth and her wonderful creatures. It is time we give back our wonderful planet by taking good care of her. We need to respond by extending our hands by doing simple things like making mud balls that will stir a difference.

Briefing by Mr Clarence

The session began with a briefing by Mr. Clarence from the 'Scent of Borneo' regarding the usefulness of mud balls. It is one of the environmental solutions towards reducing water pollution and improving water quality in our rivers, ponds and drains.

EM- Mudballs stands for ‘Effective Micro-organism Mud Balls’ and are environmental friendly.

Putting our hands together for mother earth

These round shape mud balls are formed by specific formulas which have to be mixed with clay and wheat bread. After 5 days the balls will be covered with fungus and ready to be used for neutralizing purposes including the treatment of polluted river, fish ponds and drains as well as the cleaning of dirty beaches.

This awareness campaign is one way of creating an understanding among us the caring of our mother nature, keeping our environment fresh and unpolluted.

The Holy Trinity Church team managed to produce more than 10,000 balls in 3 hours. The activity had made the community learn how to appreciate nature and her gifts to mankind and support any environmental campaigns, such as this, that will help nurture and protect the only planet we live in.

INTERCHURCH FELLOWSHIP FAMILY DAY

A briefing session

Tawau : Holy Trinity Church parishioners, mostly from the youth, joined around 400 other Christian denomination members in an Interchurch Fellowship Family Day at the Tawau Sport Complex on 19th September 2010.

Members from the other churches included those from St. Patrick Anglican Church, Basel, SIB, Calvary, Methodist and Gereja Persekutuan.

The program started with prayers led by a member of each Christian Church followed by a telematch participated by people of all ages.

It was felt that the event succeeded in bringing out a common understanding of love, tolerance, acceptance and humility among all the Christian Churches in Tawau. Such activity promotes ecumenical spirit and inter church relationship. It develops integration for Christian unity especially among young members creating in them a sense of community and mutual respect.

The program ended at 6pm with presentation of tokens to the ’telematch’ winners.

16 Pasangan Mengikuti Seminar Pra-Perkahwinan di Paroki Sandakan

Sandakan - Komiti Keluarga Katolik (KKK) St. Mary, Sandakan sekali lagi telah mengadakan Seminar Pra-Perkahwinan pada 25 dan 26 September 2010 bertempat di Dewan Paroki St. Mary, Sandakan.

Seminar bertujuan mempersiapkan para calon yang ingin mendirikan rumahtangga dalam Gereja Katolik.

Seramai 16 pasangan telah mengikuti seminar ini yang datang dari pelbagai tempat seperti Pamol, Beluran, Ulu Dusun, Batu 19 dan kawasan Bandar Sandakan.
