Bishop Julius Blesses The Site For The Cathedral Parish Rosary Corridor

BY DS
Sandakan : Bishop Julius Dusin Gitom blessed the site for the proposed Rosary Corridor, assisted by Fr Sunny Chung, the assistant rector of St Mary's Cathedral, yesterday, 5th August 2014 at the foot of the Marian Mount, right in front of St Mary's Convent. The prelate also graced the ground breaking ceremony witnessed by some thirty parishioners
The proposed corridor is some 0.7 kilometers of gradual terrain. The hill is covered in lush greenery with lots of  trees and undergrowth. Some under brushing has been done to identify the trail and steps were built at some parts of difficult terrain. From the peak of the hill, you will enjoy a scenic view of the town and the open sea.
A giant rosary, hanging on a cross of more than twenty feet will be constructed at the starting point of the Rosary Corridor. The project is expected to be completed before the annual Rosary Rally, 15th August 2014.
